Basmati rice------------------1 kg
Chicken with its skin---------1 1/2 kg

Onion sliced------------------2nos
Ginger-----------------------1/2 inch piece
Garlic------------------------6 pods
Tomato chopped-------------2 nos
Cardamom ------------------4 nos
Cloves-----------------------4 nos
Cinnamon stick---------------1
Dried lemon------------------1 no
Salt---------------------------as needed

Oil--------------------------as needed

  1.  Firstly measure the rice and wash well in running water and drain it and keep aside.
  2. Cit the chicken into big pieces.
  3. Now take the chicken pieces and add onion, ginger garlic, tomato, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, dried lemon and salt to it and add little water and cook for 1 hour in a low flame.
  4. When the chicken is boiled take out the pieces and keep it in a separate plate.
  5. Now drain the chicken cooked water and measure it.
  6. For 1 cup rice, needs 1 and half cup water required if not, add water as per its measurement.
  7. Now from the drained take out only the dried lemon and put it in the measured water.
  8. When this water is boiled add the drained and soaked basmati rice to it and cook well until the water is absorbed.
  9. Now take the chicken and fry it in a separate pan and serve along with the cooked rice and enjoy!!!
