SHELL FISH THORAN

INGREDIENTS:

SHELL FISH THORAN
Shell fish------------------- - 1kg
Small Onion(Kunjulli)------ - 1/2 kg
Ginger chopped------------ - 2 tbsp
 Green chillies crushed------ - 6
Kukum star(kudampuli)----- - 4 pieces
Coconut grated------------- - 2 cups
Turmeric powder------------ - 1/2 tsp
Coconut oil------------------ - 2 tbsp
Salt --------------------------- As rqrd

METHOD OF PREPARATION:

  1. Clean and wash the fish using salt and lemon juice.
  2.  Slice small onions after removing the skin.
  3. Handmix grated coconut, sliced onion, chopped ginger, crushed green chillies or kanthari mulaku and turmeric powder.
  4.  Put the fish pieces in a pan or meen chatti, add salt, tamarind (kudampuli), coconut mixture and mix it well.
  5. Add little water and cover the pan with a lid and cook in medium flame until all the water gets evaporated.
  6. Sprinkle 2 tablespoon coconut oil over the dish just before removing it from fire.
  7. Serve hot with rice :)
